Room With a Hue

This client was a lot of fun to design for. Their project was all about color, texture, and creating a master bedroom and guest bedroom that compliments this family’s passion for traveling and bringing home eclectic collectibles. Keeping with this eclectic theme we stuck with many natural elements, accentuated by pops of color. The natural toned headboard and burlap button details on the bedding worked with the wooden art carvings above the dresser. We carried this throughout the room with the chevron wood mirror and dark wood chandeliers. We refinished an armoire for our clients in a bright green adding a touch of whimsy to the room. Elements of blue and green can be found throughout, from the window treatments to the custom pillows, as this color scheme married well with the natural feel to create a room of cohesion and character.

These clients also requested we redesign their guest bedroom, and so we followed suit and included bright colors to liven this space. The bright blue and orange were incorporated into our custom bedding as well as our layered window treatments. You’ll notice we used similar trims and color ways in every element to create an inviting guest bedroom that will leave every guest feeling at home. Even upon entering the bathroom we tied together these elements of similar trims, and pops of color. This project was largely a stylistic one, we wanted to design rooms that worked in harmony and reflected the eclectic warmth and whimsy of our clients’ taste.
